Meet Captain Kyle Rudkevitch
Chilliwack BC Fishing Guide for Family-Friendly Sturgeon and Salmon Charters
Captain Kyle Rudkevitch, owner and operator of Cold Water Guiding, was born and raised in Chilliwack, British Columbia, where fishing has been a part of his life since childhood. Growing up along the banks of the Fraser River, he spent countless hours exploring the water with family and friends, learning how to read the river’s flow and track its seasonal fish movements. What started as a family pastime quickly grew into a lifelong passion and career. Kyle’s warm personality and deep respect for nature make him not only a skilled angler but also a guide who genuinely enjoys sharing the river’s magic with others.
With decades of local experience, Captain Kyle is now one of the most trusted Chilliwack fishing guides. His knowledge of Sturgeon and Salmon fishing on the Fraser River is second to none, and his commitment to safety ensures every guest enjoys a fun and worry-free experience. Whether guiding seasoned anglers or first-time families, he combines professionalism with a friendly, easygoing approach that puts everyone at ease. Kyle holds all the required certifications for operating fishing charters in British Columbia and consistently earns praise for his hands-on instruction and ability to adapt trips to any skill level.
As a proud Métis fishing guide, Kyle brings a unique cultural and ecological perspective to every charter. His passion for conservation drives his work—he practices and promotes catch-and-release Sturgeon fishing to protect these ancient fish for future generations. Beyond guiding, he’s active in his community, often participating in local river clean-ups and outdoor education events. This deep connection to both the land and people of Chilliwack sets
Cold Water Guiding apart as more than just a business—it’s a reflection of Kyle’s heritage, values, and love for the outdoors.
